Easier and more enjoyable

Yesterday, I invited you to consider that there is another way to achieve your big health goals that doesn't rely completely on motivation and willpower.

Consider: What do you typically do when you experience a slump in motivation? Do you attempt to push through? Do you try to remotivate yourself and pump up your drive by looking at the goal and thinking about all the good things that will happen when you achieve it? Imagining how great it will feel?

First, we have to unlearn the expectation that motivation is enough, and the expectation that we will always be motivated (and if we aren't, then something is wrong).

So how do we still take action when we don't feel moved to?

Simple: We need to find ways to make action easier and more enjoyable. We are much more likely to keep doing easy things, especially if we enjoy doing them.
